Joe Rovner, also known by his stage name, Vourteque, has been producing music and DJs for crowds for over 20 years. He has released one full length album, 2 EPs, and countless remixes and singles.
As Joe's experience goes beyond the studio, so does his style and skillsets. He's a trained dancer, entertainer, and experienced DJ. Joe has toured extensively, performing for crowds in the US and Canada several times over. He's taken to stages at some of the country's largest festivals and performed alongside some of the best in the industry.
Joe's musical ability reflects this. Since he has experience as a stage performer and event producer, he understands performers' and producers' needs. When an audio deliverable is requested, he know it isn't just about it sounding good, it's about fulfilling a specific need. Because of this Joe can create a tailor made deliverable that requires little send back.
Maybe you need a simple pop music playlist to fill space in the background. Or a song edited so it lines up with a performance you're working on. Those are no problem. Do you need a bit more? An ambient soundscape for an epic video, a heavy beat to perform over, a bespoke remix for a walk on - Joe can do it all.
And Joe has background working in all styles of music. His (vinyl) record collection along is over 3k in size! He has experience with pop, dance, rock, hip hop, and much much more.

Joe offers a wide range of services, most of which can be​​ completed in a relatively short time-frame. Joe's standard rate is $50 and hour, though breaks can be made for large projects that rack up a lot of hours. Joe is also happy to do sliding scale pricing for independent artists and performers. Having been one himself, he understands the struggle.

Audio Edits for Live Performances & Presentations
Do you have the perfect song for your presentation but wish the chorus was quieter? Did you find just the track for your stage act, except you need the beginning a bit longer and the end shorter? Do you love that one radio hit but need it to be just a little different for it to work in your project?

Joe can help. Audio edits are quick, easy, and inexpensive!

PLEASE NOTE: Edits of copywritten music are for your own use and cannot be sold or distributed unless you are the holder of the copywrite. If you are the copywrite holder and wish to sell or distribute said edits, further contracting with Joe will be required. Any and all public use of an edit is dictated by local laws.

Rate - $50/hr. 1 hour minimum.

Original Works or Remixes
Do you need a completely original song, or a remix of an existing one, for your project? Joe is happy to help. Original works may take several days to weeks to complete, so please plan accordingly. Remixes may be quicker, but this is commensurate on if the song is already split into separate parts or not.

PLEASE NOTE: Both original work and remix work are for private event, or use in a specific performance, only. They cannot be sold or distributed commercially. If you wish to hire Joe to create original work or remix work for commercial distribution, further contracting will be required.
Remixes of copywritten music are for your own use and cannot be sold or distributed unless you are the holder of the copywrite and have contracted with Joe agreeing to it. Any and all public use of a remix is dictated by local laws.

Playlists & DJ Mixes
Do you have the perfect assortment of songs for a performance or project, but need them mixed together? Not only is that easy, but it can typically be done in a short period of time. Do you need FX added? Do you want it to sound like a haunted radio station or the intercom from a bus station? No problem, Joe has you covered!

PLEASE NOTE: All mixes utilizing copywritten music are for your own use and cannot be sold or distributed. If you are are the holder of the copywrite and wish to do so, further contracting with Joe will be required. Any public use of DJ mixes and playlists are dictated by local laws.

Rate - $50/hr. 2 hour minimum

Mixing of Original Work
Joe's has many years in music production and engineering. He also has an extensive collection of professional software and hardware. Joe can take your demo track and make it shine. Mix sessions often take a few hours and, based on availability, deliverables may take over a week so please plan accordingly.

NOTE: Joe is not a mastering engineer and does not offer mastering services. He can offer a "rough master" to test, but would not consider that release ready. If you need a mastering engineer, Joe can suggest reputable ones.
